Talking with Your Pharmacist
日本の薬局では、薬を渡すときに、 薬剤師が薬の使い方や注意点を説明します。
また、薬剤師から、 使っている薬や体調について 質問されることがあります。
これは、薬を安全に使うための 大切な確認です。
At a pharmacy in Japan, a pharmacist explains how to use your medicines safely. The pharmacist may also ask about your health and current medicines.
薬剤師は何をするの？ / What Does a Pharmacist Do?
薬剤師は、処方箋の内容を確認し、 薬の量や飲み合わせなどを調べます。
必要に応じて医師に確認し、 患者さんが安全に薬を使えるように 説明します。
日本では、このような説明や確認を 「服薬指導」と呼びます。
Pharmacists check prescriptions, doses and possible drug interactions. They may contact the prescriber when clarification is needed. They also explain how to use medicines safely.
わからないことや心配なことがあれば、 遠慮せずに伝えてください。
You can ask questions about your medicines. Please tell the pharmacist if you have any concerns.
薬剤師から説明されること / What Will the Pharmacist Explain?
薬の目的・効果
何のために使う薬なのか、 どのような効果が期待できるのかを 説明します。
What the medicine is for and how it is expected to help.
薬の飲み方・使い方
1回に使う量、1日の回数、 使う時間や方法を説明します。
食前・食後・就寝前など、 薬によって使うタイミングが異なります。
How much medicine to take, how often to take it, and when and how to use it.
副作用と注意点
薬を使うときに注意したい症状や、 日常生活で気をつけることなどを 説明します。
薬によっては、眠気、めまい、 胃腸の症状などが現れることがあります。
Possible side effects, warning signs and precautions. Some medicines may cause drowsiness, dizziness or stomach problems.
薬の飲み合わせ・保管方法
他の薬やサプリメント、 食べ物との飲み合わせ、 薬の保管方法などを説明します。
Possible interactions with other medicines, supplements and foods, and how to store your medicines.
薬剤師から質問されること / Questions You May Be Asked
薬剤師は、薬を安全に使えるか確認するため、 次のようなことを尋ねる場合があります。
現在使っている薬
他の病院でもらった薬、 市販薬、海外で購入した薬、 サプリメントなどを確認します。
Are you taking any other medicines, including over-the-counter medicines or supplements?
アレルギーや副作用の経験
過去に薬で発疹が出た、 体調が悪くなったなどの経験があれば 伝えてください。
Have you ever had an allergic reaction or side effect from a medicine?
薬の使用状況
薬を飲み忘れていないか、 飲みにくい薬がないか、 薬が余っていないかなどを確認します。
Have you missed any doses, had trouble taking your medicines, or had any medicines left over?
体調や生活について
薬の安全性に関係する場合、 持病、妊娠・授乳、 仕事や車の運転などについて 確認することがあります。
The pharmacist may ask about your health conditions, pregnancy, breastfeeding, driving or daily activities when relevant to your medicines.

薬剤師に伝えてほしいこと / What Should You Tell the Pharmacist?
薬が飲みにくい、飲み忘れる、 費用が心配、説明が理解できないなど、 困っていることを伝えてください。
Please tell your pharmacist if you have difficulty taking medicines, forget doses, are concerned about costs, or do not understand the instructions.
薬が飲みにくい
錠剤が大きい、粉薬が苦手など、 飲みにくい理由を伝えてください。
薬の種類や形を変更できるか、 医師と相談できる場合があります。
Please tell us if you have trouble swallowing tablets or taking certain medicines.
飲み忘れ・飲み残しがある
薬を忘れることや、 余っている薬があることを 伝えてください。
薬によって対応が異なります。 自己判断で2回分をまとめて 飲まないでください。
Tell your pharmacist about missed doses or leftover medicines. Do not take two doses together unless specifically instructed.
薬の費用が心配
薬の費用が心配な場合は、 薬剤師に伝えてください。
ジェネリック医薬品など、 選択できる方法を確認します。
If medication costs are a concern, ask your pharmacist about available options.
説明がわからないとき / If You Do Not Understand
日本語が難しいときは、 わからないことを薬剤師に伝えてください。
必要に応じて、翻訳ツール、 筆談、図や写真などを使いながら 確認できる場合があります。
特に、薬を飲む量や時間、 注意する症状については、 理解してから使うことが大切です。

薬を受け取った後も相談できます / After You Leave the Pharmacy
薬を使い始めてから、 わからないことや気になる症状が 出てくることもあります。
そのようなときは、 薬を受け取った薬局や 医師にご相談ください。
自己判断で薬の量を変更したり、 使用を中止したりせず、 必要な対応を確認してください。
You can contact your pharmacy if you have questions after receiving your medicines. Do not change the dose or stop prescribed treatment on your own. Ask a healthcare professional for advice.
薬を使用した後に、 息苦しさ、のどや舌の腫れ、 意識の異常などが現れた場合は、 緊急の対応が必要です。
ためらわず119番に連絡するなど、 速やかに救急医療につながってください。
If you experience severe breathing difficulties, swelling of the tongue or throat, or loss of consciousness, seek emergency medical help. Call 119 in Japan.
